We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Energy Marshall to join our team on a flagship data centre construction project.

Role Overview
The Energy Marshall plays a critical role in supporting energy compliance, commissioning, and quality assurance activities during the construction phase of a hyperscale data centre facility. The role ensures that energy systems are installed, commissioned, and function in accordance with design intent and project specifications, while promoting energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability best practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee energy system installations (HVAC, electrical, power monitoring, BMS) and ensure compliance with energy performance requirements.
• Monitor and report on energy usage during commissioning and construction phases.
• Work with commissioning teams, contractors, and consultants to validate performance of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections and walkdowns to verify system readiness and identify inefficiencies or non-conformances.
• Assist in implementation of energy-saving strategies and low-energy best practices.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of commissioning data, compliance metrics, and issue logs.
• Report energy performance metrics and findings to project and client stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with safety and environmental standards during energy-related work.

Skills
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in large-scale construction, particularly in data centre environments.
• Working knowledge of energy systems including HVAC, UPS, switchgear, chillers, and building management systems (BMS).
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and documentation (e.g., IST, SAT, FAT).
• Understanding of energy codes, compliance standards, and best practices (ASHRAE, LEED, ISO 50001, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and commissioning reports.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Proficiency in using data logging tools, BMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or an Energy Engineering degree is ideal but not essential.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction or commissioning roles with energy or MEP system focus.
• Previous experience working on mission-critical facilities (preferably data centres).
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and construction site safety practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time and adapt to a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
• Valid right to work in Milan, Italy
• Professional certifications (e.g., CEM, LEED AP, CMVP) are advantageous but not mandatory.
